Not Sure Whether to Keep or Replace?

Book a 30-minute call. We will tell you which package fits, what we would look at first, and - if we think an assessment is not what you need right now - we will tell you that instead.

effort per interviewee - typically 3-5 people across editorial, marketing and IT.
  • 1 Report

containing an executive summary and a technical annex.

    • The Scorecard

Six dimensions, each scored with the evidence behind it. One page for the steering committee, with every score traceable to a specific finding for anyone who wants to check it.

    • The Prioritised Action List

Every finding sorted by business impact and effort. Quick wins you can start without us, structural items that need a project, and the things that genuinely do not matter.

    • The Recommendation

Keep, fix, or replace - stated plainly, with the reasoning. If replacing is right, which platform(s) and why. If keeping is right, we say that too, and you have saved yourself a re-platforming.

    • The Budget Basis

Effort ranges based on almost 20 years of experience for each recommended step. Written so you can take it into a budget meeting without translating it first.

    • The Technical Annex

Current-state architecture diagram, integration and data-flow map, technical debt register, customisation and upgrade-path assessment, security and dependency findings.

    Three Reasons Companies Call Us

Almost every DXP Assessment starts with one of these three sentences. Open the one you recognise.

    • "Everything takes too long."

The editorial team has learned to work around the CMS instead of in it. A campaign landing page becomes a development ticket, the ticket joins a sprint queue, and the sprint is full. So marketing starts planning around what the platform can do rather than what the market needs. Nobody books the cost of that, because it never appears as a line item. The system is still running — it is just running against you.

    • "The contract is up. Now what?"

Licence costs have climbed for three renewals running, the vendor roadmap is heading somewhere you are not going, and the renewal date is a few months out. Committing for another three years is a decision worth six or seven figures over its life. Migrating is a decision worth more. Either way your CFO will ask what the alternative costs — and the honest answer today is that nobody has measured it.

    • "New project — which system?"

No legacy baggage, which is the good news. No experience with the options either, which is the rest of it. Every vendor demo is convincing, because every vendor demos the part of the product that is genuinely excellent. The differences that will decide this in year three — the content model, the integration layer, what your editors can do without a developer — are not in the demo, and they are not in the pricing sheet.

Six dimensions. One question and one method each.

Evaluated independently, scored against evidence. The question is what your board will ask. The scope is what we actually examine.

    • Speed to Market

Editorial workflows, approval paths, release and deployment cycles, measured throughput versus platform capability, where the queue actually forms.

    • Team & Editorial Independence

Visual editing and component model, role and permission structure, in-house skill coverage, key-person and agency dependencies, what genuinely requires a developer today and what should not.

The Kind of Environment These Six Dimensions Were Built On

Clarity first, execution second. That is the sequence that works.
