The Soundbox web app is used for a virtual sound experience of Vaillant and Saunier Duval heat pumps for B2C customers to reduce the fear of a loud heating system. Users can simulate the sound emerging from a variety of heat pumps depending on a (virtual) distance.
Initial situation
Vaillant Group already offered a Soundbox application as a virtual sound experience for customers where users can simulate the sound emerging from a variety of heat pumps depending on a (virtual) distance.
The existing Soundbox application for Vaillant and Saunier Duval was not able to incorporate additional products due to technical restrictions.
Opening the existing Soundbox application required very long loading times.
3D renderings of products and adjacent homes made the existing Soundbox look unrealistic, impacting the user experience.
Solution
A new Soundbox application was created by Bejond (concept and design) and Bright IT (technical implementation) which is able to incorporate more than 20 product families with approximately 6 different products for indoor and outdoor units including different models for heating output.
Loading times have dropped and stay below 2 seconds (page load).
Any number of languages is supported
The app is accessible via web and also works offline.
The app is easy to integrate into existing websites
Local sales organisations are able to configure and change various app parameters (e.g. included products, starting product, language) with ease.
User behavior can be tracked for analysis and evaluation (e.g. what products are listened to the most).
